Maya Jama and Ruben Dias's plush Cheshire mansion raided by 'away day' gang during European clash
The Cheshire mansion, nestled within the coveted Golden Triangle, was ransacked by thieves, leaving Love Island host Maya Jama and her Manchester City ace boyfriend Ruben Dias devastated.
On January 30, 2026, at 11:10 PM, the police received a report of a burglary at the couple's £4 million Alderley Edge home. The thieves made off with jewelry, electronics, and clothes, leaving the couple upset and shaken.
At the time of the raid, Ruben, 28, was playing in the Champions League match against Galatasaray, while Maya was away filming Love Island South Africa. Ruben returned home after the match, discovering the mess and calling the police.
This incident is the latest in a series of burglaries targeting footballers while they are away at matches. Ruben's former Manchester City teammates Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling, and Riyad Mahrez have also fallen victim to these gangs in recent years.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that officers attended the scene and found entry had been made to the property with several items stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
