Art With Wings: A Creative Hub in Lismore's CBD (2025)

Lismore's Eggins Lane is buzzing with new life! A creative hub is blossoming, and it's all thanks to the vision of Gemma Hall and her art business, 'Art With Wings'.

Last week, we introduced you to the Blah Bar and the Living School's exciting renovations in the area. But here's where the story takes an inspiring turn. While exploring the neighborhood, we stumbled upon 10 County Lane, a hidden gem managed by Gemma.

Gemma's journey began with a simple search for a studio, but what she found was a space with limitless potential. "I instantly fell for this place," she gushes, "The location is perfect, and I saw the chance to become a community hub." Gemma's enthusiasm is infectious as she describes her vision: "I wanted to bring creatives together, share skills, and invite the community to join. The Living School's philosophy aligns with mine, and we're mutually supporting each other's goals."

And her vision is becoming a reality. What began as a studio has transformed into a bustling business venue. "The demand is incredible!" Gemma exclaims. From training sessions to community events and dance classes, the space is alive with activity. But it's not just about the events; it's a place for connection and creativity.

Gemma's initial plan for 'Art With Wings' took a temporary backseat as she embraced these new opportunities. But now, she's refocusing on her art business. "I'm relaunching Art With Wings with a special art group for ladies with disabilities, and I'm inviting other artists to host workshops here. We have a mural workshop and a Paint & Sip event coming up. I aim to offer more art classes to the community over time."

Her business model is not just innovative but also practical. Gemma's flood plan ensures the space is adaptable and mobile, with a sprung dance floor and a large projector as the only heavy items. This forward-thinking approach is a brilliant solution for the area's flood concerns.

And this is where you come in! If you're seeking a unique venue for your next workshop or presentation, Gemma's space could be the perfect fit. Contact her at 10countylane@gmail.com and be a part of this vibrant, community-centric initiative.

But here's where it gets controversial... Is this the future of community spaces? Are traditional venues becoming a thing of the past? Share your thoughts below!
